Kids Food Challenge 2020: Healthy and Happy

Who will win this year’s Kids Food Challenge? Last year, we organised our grand finale at the Kookfabriek in Utrecht. Today, we are challenging young contestants to get creative at home. What could be more fun than cooking in the kitchen? Enjoying fun and fabulous dishes together! Prominent challenges kids to use healthy ingredients and create happy faces at the table.

Kids are giving great and gorgeous examples

Teach them while they are young. Those having fun in the kitchen at a young age will profit from it later in life. Parents too can get inspired by the creativity with which kids create their own dishes. Instead of following standard recipes, new flavours and colours are easily combined. By giving them room to experiment, kids, as well as their parents, learn that healthy food can also be tasty and terrific.

Versatile tomatoes are bursting with vitamins

Who says tomatoes can only be used in a soup, salad or (pasta) sauce? Their versatility allows them to be turned into virtually anything: from scrumptious smoothies, to perfect pizzas and lush lollypops. These last items will be created by the winner of this year’s Kids Food Challenge, during a professional masterclass. Did you know that apart from being versatile, tomatoes are bursting with vitamins too? So, every bite brings you one step closer to great health.

Knowing what is on you plate, where does it come from?

To kick off the Kids Food Challenge, Prominent delivered several boxes containing fresh vegetables. And to show that tomatoes do not grow in supermarkets, we added a small tomato plant too. We are challenging kids to turn healthy tomatoes into tasty dishes. To increase their chances of winning great prizes, they are encouraged to share their culinary creations on social media using the hashtag #kidsfoodchallege and tag their friends as well as @we_love_tomatoes.
